It is true, you can have your completely over the top dream wedding OR your cozy intimate elopement (and everything in between) right here in Maine. It will be unforgettable…but what kind of unforgettable??? Let’s just be honest from the get-go with the straight honest to God truth…if you want your wedding to be unforgettable in a “good” way & if you are going to invite “city folk” to your Maine wedding, hire a “local guide”!
African Safari example of why you need a local guide: you find yourself, along with your camera, sitting in a tree surrounded by lions = “WHAT compelled me to go all National Geographic and want to photograph lions from a tree?” = lions get hungry, they can climb trees & a self guided safari is not recommended.
Maine Wedding example of why you need a local guide: time for your first dance and your wedding tent just turned in to a massive muddy puddle = “WHAT happened!?”= Maine fields get wet. Don’t pitch your tent directly on the ground at the bottom of a hill, even if it has the best view.

…don’t be scared. With a little guidance you can have a Maine wedding that inspires shock & awe (in the “good” way) or you can take fabulous close-up photographs of lions (in the non-being-eaten kind of way)…see, knowledgeable local guidance is good.
OK so now you know why we suggest you “hire a local guide” (aka wedding planner, wedding designer, wedding coordinator type person)…but why us???
