Colby loves horses. She teaches, competes and rides horses. So, when it was time to design her wedding, horses needed to be a key element. So we created a wedding venue in the middle of a horse field. With a Sperry tent, over 90 candles, sunflowers, yellow dahlia from a local farm, burlap, and barrels, vintage windows, a typewriter for a guestbook. The guests arrived and were brought by horse drawn carriage to the “chapel” they walked through the vintage doors and sat on hay bails with planks of wood. The groom and best man arrived by tractor and the bride and groom were married under an arbor with vintage windows. The reception guest sat under a sail tent by Sperry seacoast the chairs were numbered by shingles. The burlap covered farm table was covered with pillar candles and rustic farm flowers. Colby bouquet was dusty miller and purple dahlias from a local farm in Camden Maine. The lighting was market lights and purple up lighting for dancing. Lanterns marked the way back to the cars at the end of the night when guest moseyed home.
