Planning MAINE Weddings is what WE love!

“WE” = maine wedding plannermaine wedding plannerAmber Small & Kathryn Ravenscraft {owners of Sweetest Thing Weddings}.

Gathering a team of wedding vendors and overseeing logistics is just one part of our service. We must call ourselves “MAINE Wedding Planners” because it is the closest commonly known title for the “type” of service we provide (aka MAINE coordinator, day of coordinator, consultant, florist).  All of these titles seem too stuffy and controlling.  They evoke images of cookie cutter weddings; flat, bland & blah.  We are the opposite of that.  DESIGN is our passion! So we want to call ourselves “Wedding Designers & Flower Designers”. We take your ideas, your vision, your style and fully assist you in planning and executing a complete wedding celebration that reflects YOU: unique, thoughtful & stunning.

MAINE truly is a perfect destination wedding location. It offers couples & their guests the opportunity to kick back, relax & celebrate!  The MAINE wedding location you choose sets the stage and feel:  Tented wedding in a MAINE field with lemonade & croquet, lobster bake, modern OCEAN front ceremony, married at sea by the Captain of the sailboat, organic seaside reception, mainland cozy Bed & Breakfast, historical INN, weekend long celebration on a private ISLAND, local “green” chef serving a 9 course meal, sunset at the top of the tallest Mountain in MAINE, taking your “just married” stroll down a row of blooming apple trees, outdoor chapel tucked in a flower garden, your childhood summer home, “camp”, luxury cottages nestled in the MAINE forest, tiny wooden chapel, church with cathedral ceilings and stained glass windows, surrounded by vintage candles and locally grown flowers cut fresh from a MAINE dahlia farm, steaming hot chocolate on a wintery sleigh ride, a vineyard, the CAMDEN Amphitheater, harbor, hill, mountain, field, cliff, boat, beach, sea, island, forest, lake, river or winding trail…we want to help you find the perfect wedding location in MAINE.

Most of our clients are planning their weddings from “away”; we help by being their local point person, guide & personal designer.
